Your day begins with a warm welcome before setting off on an exciting truffle hunting adventure through the estate’s picturesque woodlands. Accompanied by an expert truffle hunter and highly trained dogs, you will learn the secrets of truffle hunting and discover what makes these prized treasures of the earth so unique and sought after around the world.
Following the truffle hunt, enjoy a refined gourmet lunch at the winery, complemented by a comprehensive tasting of premium Tuscan wines, extra virgin olive oils, and aged balsamic vinegar. The menu features traditional local specialties, including Tuscan appetizers, truffle tagliolini, truffle lasagna, roasted meat with seasonal side dishes, and dessert paired with a sweet dessert wine.
In the afternoon, the experience continues at the historic San Quirico Winery in San Gimignano. Here, you will enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and production cellar, gaining insight into the winemaking process and the estate’s dedication to preserving local traditions.
The highlight of the visit is exclusive access to the traditional Vinsantaia, where you will witness the tapping of Vinsanto directly from the ancient caratelli barrels, experiencing a centuries-old ritual that has been passed down through generations.
The day concludes with a guided tasting of exceptional dessert wines and Vinsanto, perfectly paired with traditional Tuscan cantuccini almond biscuits.
