DAY 1: ITALY – BUDAPEST
Meet your tour leader at Milan Malpensa Airport two hours before departure for check-in and boarding procedures. Upon arrival in Budapest, meet your guide and coach and begin your exploration of Buda, including the Royal Palace District, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion and the Citadel. Free lunch near the beautiful Art Nouveau-style Central Market Hall. In the afternoon, continue the sightseeing tour with entrance to St. Stephen’s Basilica, followed by a walk through the Jewish Quarter, where you will also see the exterior of the Great Synagogue. Hotel check-in in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: BUDAPEST
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue exploring Budapest with a tour of Pest, including Heroes’ Square, Andrássy Avenue, Roosevelt Square and the Opera House. The tour continues with a discovery of Budapest’s Art Nouveau architecture, admiring the exterior of the Geological Institute, the Postal Savings Bank Palace and the Gresham Palace. Free lunch during the excursion. In the afternoon, after some free time to browse the charming Christmas Market stalls, enjoy a memorable Danube River cruise and admire the city from a unique perspective. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: BUDAPEST (PEST) – ITALY
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, continue exploring Pest with entrance to the Hungarian Parliament Building, the symbol of both Budapest and Hungary, and home to the Hungarian National Assembly. Free lunch. Afternoon at leisure for individual activities. Budapest offers much more than its Christmas markets: historic cafés perfect for a warm drink, fascinating museums and a wide variety of shops for some holiday shopping. Transfer to the airport approximately two hours before departure.
Return flight to Italy and end of services.
